SYNOPSIS

Jay Masonek is feeling down and out. Although he is a talented artist, Jay has seldom left his small town in Northern California. One day, Jay's cousins Jeff and Eric (who are also artists) visit from LA. They offer Jay the opportunity to come live with them for a period of time in Hollywood. Hoping to cheer him up, the brothers show Jay the city and take him to film castings, even though it's during the economic recession and jobs are scarce. Jay soon begins to feel the oppression of what he describes as "the grid", heightening his spiritual crises. In his desperation, Jay reaches out to God, who in the form of a dove directs and leads him toward hope and renewal. Eventually, Jay returns to his small town, where he finds a “green job” in the California redwood forest. Meanwhile, Eric and Jeff pursue relationships in New York and England. At Eric’s wedding, the three come together again. Although he still feels alone, Jay, through a powerful moment, makes the biggest decision of his life.

FROM US:

Hello everyone!! Eric and I are really excited about releasing "Glitch in the Grid" but we need your help. Post-production costs on a film can really tally up, so we're hoping you can come alongside us in support and receive some awesome incentives in the meantime. Filmmaking is such a collaborative process and we made this film for you to enjoy and be inspired by.

We plan to use this money directly towards the cost of post-production needs, from transfer to tape, publicity, theater rental, and other small costs that add up fast. We have the know-how and contacts to make this happen, but we need your faith in us to accomplish our goals. Become a partner in our life by investing in "Glitch in the Grid"!

  Cheers

"Glitch in the Grid" premiered at the world-famous Annecy Film Festival in France and won a gold-medal at the Park City Film Festival. It is also a official selection at the San Francisco International Animation Festival.

FAQ

  • $3000 is enough to get us to a place where we can enter the theatrical realm. However, theaters are very expensive to rent, so any amount exceeding our goal will go straight towards additional screenings. We just want to bring this film to as many audiences in as many cities as possible. With your help, we'll have a strong showing, and the hard work will pay off.

  • Contrary to popular belief, independent films really can make money. We have been able to recoup our theatrical expenses in the past and have made some money off of our DVD releases. It helps to have an honest distributor. We hope "Glitch in the Grid" will be successful enough to help us recoup all of the expenses we put forth in making  it and launch us into our next project.
