I've received several e-mails asking if we'll eventually have an ePub and/or PDF of the book. I've decided to go ahead and make this available after the physical publication of the book in August of 2012.

The $15 incentive will now get you a copy of the ePub or PDF. We will be publishing this through Lulu so please keep in mind that you will need the PDF version if you are using a Kindle.

I've also switched to a better printer, upgraded the paper stock and cover as well.

About the project:

A Book of Dwarves is a richly illustrated field guide and history of a lost world.  Narrated by a Dwarven historian, this book will take you on a fascinating journey through dwarf lifestyles, culture, history, fashion, topography and animal life.

The goal of this Kickstarter funding is to cover the printing costs of the book and have it published in time for the Spectrum Fantastic Art Live show the weekend of May 18th.

A Book of Dwarves will be a 6”x 9” full color, thirty-two page softcover volume.  The initial print run will be released as a special limited edition to our Kickstarter sponsors and will also be available for purchase at Spectrum Live.

All original artwork created as a reward for donating will be shipped by August of 2012.  The limited edition Book of Dwarves will ship in early June.

About the author:

Kyle Bice is an award winning commercial and fantasy illustrator.  A graduate of the American Academy of Art, Kyle spent years studying the masters of 19th and 20th century illustration.  This book is an homage to many of Kyle’s influences over the years such as Arthur Rackham, John Bauer, Norman Rockwell, Brian Froud, Alan Lee and many more.
