Sorry it's been so long, INDELIBLE LALITA backers!  I've been busy finishing the film and doing other teaching and freelance work.  I just wanted to wish everyone a happy new year and let you know that we did our sound mix for the film at Heart Punch Studio last week, and will be color correcting and finalizing the picture this week.

We recorded wonderful music (composed by my husband Jorrit Dijkstra) with Carla  Kihlstedt, Geni Skendo, and Matthias Bossi at Sounds Interesting Studio in July and December.  It elevated the film to a more cinematic level.

Thank you so much for your support of these activities.  I have begun applying for festivals, and will let you know when the premiere is scheduled.  I can't wait for you all to see it!

Our Kickstarter project for INDELIBLE LALITA ended yesterday at 5pm with $7,805 raised to finish the film - exceeding our goal by more than 50%.  Your credit cards should have been charged yesterday for the amount of your donation.

I really appreciate all of your support on this project.  In this tough funding climate, it is nice to know that there are people who value the arts and want to see a spirited independent documentary get finished.

I will post updates as we progress with the film.  If any of you are free and in Boston on Thursday April 14, please come to a rough cut screening of INDELIBLE LALITA.  I'm looking for audience feedback.  I will know the final time and location in a few days, so if you're interested, just shoot me an email and I will give you the rsvp link.

THANK YOU ALL so much for your generous donations to my film! I'm so excited to announce that, thanks to you, we've met our $5,000 goal - which means that Indelible Lalita will be funded on March 20. This money will go towards final sound editing and mixing.

For anyone else who is interested in the project, please still consider lending your support. We can definitely use additional funding to cover the online edit, title design, and other finishing costs. $10,000 would go a long way towards completion.
