Update #14: Pressed!!
Hello! I am VERY excited to tell you that my CD's are going to be arriving on MONDAY!!! I will begin to box them all up, and I will ship them out by the end of next week - meaning that you should get your CD's the first week in May!!
Every one of you will receive download codes to use on my website. They will enable to you to download the entire album for free from my store. I will post it on my website by the end of next week, and send out a follow-up email with the download codes.
If you are receiving CD's and would rather wait until you get the CD itself to hear it, then practice self restraint! The download will be available before the CD's are in your hands.
Thank you all so much for helping make this happen! I am very excited to share it with you. I hope that you will love it!

Update #12: Latest update!
Progress! The album is officially mastered, and I'm almost done with the artwork. So much work!!
My goal is to send it to press within the week, which means I should be getting them back right before tour!
Mid April is the ETA for you all to get your CD's!!! Later than I had hoped, but I'm really happy with the outcome. I hope you will be as well!

Update #11: It's time!
Hello there!
Well, it's been quite a process... It is now time to finish the album!
After working with the full band, and diving into editing, etc, I have made a decision that feels good. I am going to release this album as I originally intended, which is purely solo. Then, I am going to take my time with the full band version, and actually invite guest artists to be on each track! Guest artists are going to be surprises, but I am sure you will be pleased!
Whether this full band version will be released as a CD, or simply as a download has yet to be determined. I am also not sure when it will be ready. Hopefully sometime this year!
I just realized through editing, that in order to really get what I am envisioning to happen, I need to spend a LOT more time working on it, and communicating with the people who are going to be on it. It is going to take much more time than I have right now.
I am very excited about this decision, and I have some really special guests lined up for you all!
I go in to master the solo version on Feb 20th, which means that I should be able to have the album back by mid to late March! JUST in time for heading out on tour, which I am still planning on doing.
Thank you all for your support, and your patients! I feel really really good about what I have to share with you, and I am excited to unveil it for you!

My name is Matthew Schoening.I am an independent artist from San Francisco, CA. With my current project, I compose my own music that I perform on electric cello, through a complicated process of live looping and layering. I only have 2 rules for myself:
1) Everything I do has to be live, with no pre-recorded tracks.
2) All of the sounds have to be created on my electric cello.
