I've been trying to figure out what I can say to inspire people to donate/back this film when there are so many films to back! Filmmakers are story tellers! There are so many stories that need to be told and so many that have the ability to change someone's life. This film is a comedy with the intent of making you laugh! There is, however, a twist that the writer has weaved into the story that will make you stop and wonder. "What would I do?" The characters are a mix of people from, really, every walk of life in a small town. We get to see into each character a little and I think understand a little about them.

This story is not going to change your life but we hope, lift you up and out of your life for 94 minutes. We want you to leave the theater with a smile on your face and  if we are lucky a bit of a discussion.

So, why would you choose this one? I've always loved this script. I want to work with the writer/Director for one, but there is more! I've been given an opportunity that so many people dream of. It has not been an easy road and the stories I could tell about this one year alone would make a pretty good film!

You have seen some of the talent...there are more! You haven't seen the crew but we have many talented crew here. I want to film this one here, in Victoria. Film making is a collaborative affair. We need all parts to make it. Any part missing, any lack of communication can potentially throw the whole thing to the ground. In order to complete these films we need money first.

I've discovered that getting money requires having money. All investors want to see that hard money is on the table. Tom (husband) and I have put everything we can on the table and after a year of seriously seeking funding we are no longer able to pull out more. Some would quit but I have a dream of completing two films and the 22k is what we need to bring this baby home!

It is a lot of money! But, I am hoping that having many backing/contributing the load will be lighter and more manageable. Having investors’ means that we have to be responsible and we have to provide a return for their dollars. That means that your money will be well spent. It means that this film has to be sold.

Even greater is the experience that we will all gain from making this film. We have seasoned professionals that have 20+ years and we have young aspiring talent and crew that will learn some incredible lessons while making and having fun doing it!

Then there is the money. Hundreds of thousands of dollars will be poured into Victoria. For crew and talent it will be very hard work. For businesses there will be a lot of hurry up and wait but in the end we will all benefit from this one 8 day shoot!

Can you help us get there? We cannot make it without you! That is no exaggeration!
