I wanted to let you know that I'll Drown My Book: Conceptual Writing by Women is at the printer. The book looks wonderful!  We will have copies in hand to ship to you by January 20; I will definitely post an update as soon as it arrives.

Meanwhile, everyone should have received an email requesting your mailing address. If you haven't, please email this information to me at info@lesfigues.com.

A quick update on I'll Drown My Book: Conceptual Writing by Women. We are still in the proofing process, but hope to go to print next month. This will put the book (and/or other incentives) in your hands by the end of the year.  We will keep you updated on the process, and will be requesting mailing information soon.

With 7 hours left in our campaign, we'd like to announce some super exciting news.  The Metabolic Studio, a direct charitable activity of the Annenberg Foundation, has just pledged $2,500 toward this project. Thank You! As a philanthropic organization, they will be making their contribution directly to Les Figues Press, which means this very generous gift isn't reflected in our pledged amount.  But using our math skills, we can calculate that:

$8,639 + $2,500 = $11,139 for I'll Drown My Book!

The Metabolic Studio uses creative endeavor to transition stuck bureaucracies into new paradigms.  It is a direct charitable activity of the Annenberg Foundation and is under the direction of artist Lauren Bon.

We are so grateful for the Studio's support! And to each of our individual backers—your enthusiasm is infectious, and this book is even better because of all of you.

Hi Everyone,

We're continuing to receive amazing support for this project.  With only 5 days left in the campaign, we are now only $637 dollars away from reaching 200% of our goal. Wow! Thank you so much to all of you, and thank you to our most recent donor, whose pledge makes 200% seem possible.

How will we use the extra support?  We'll fully cover the printing costs.  We'll be able to easily pay the postage as we mail out contributors' copies to 64 women in 10 different countries.  We'll mail out even more review copies.  We'll have events and even more events in even more places over the next year.

Meanwhile, all of us at Les Figues have been working hard on copy-editing and proofing the book. I'd like to thank the Les Figues interns—Emma Williams, Heatherlie Allison, and Chris Hershey-Van Horn—who have put so much into this project.
