We have added a reward for backers who can't quite afford the $15 level. Backers who donate $5 or more will now receive an exclusive Battle Chess Desktop Wallpaper. This will be a fully rendered digital painting by one of our artists. We have not decided on the final composition yet, so if you have any requests please send us a message or comment below!
We would like to respond to the comments that we have been getting about our involvement with this campaign and the amount of exposure we have received for this project. First of all, we want the fans to know that we have been pushing very hard to get the word out. We have contacted the following media outlets to try and get press for Battle Chess:
All Notable Chess Sites (Chess.com, chessforums.org, talkchess.com,...)
We have had some success in getting featured, but in order for the bigger sites to take notice, we need help from the fans to create a buzz on the forums.
We have been regularly posting gameplay videos on YouTube and are getting a tremendous amount of views. We will continue to post updates on our Twitter and Facebook.
We would like to thank all of you who are sticking with us. Although our current funding is not what it should be, we are not giving up. We will continue to spread the word and do everything we can to make this project a success.
The results of our survey were clear. The most popular option was the cheaper T-Shirt package. We have added this reward to our campaign.
We had a lot of great suggestions as well and we are looking into them at the moment.
There was a lot of interest in the physical chess sets. We are researching how we would put these together. We would really love to create some sets that are of a quality level that collectors could get excited about. The easiest choice for delivering this would be 3D printing, but we are not convinced that the end result would be what the fans are expecting. If anyone out there has any suggestions or knows of any companies that we could work with on this please let us know.
