About this project

In January of 2011 I am taking my band of 5 wonderful guys into the studio to record my second album. This album will be of all my original composition, save one- a unique modern treatment of "Solveig's Sang" by Norwegian classical composer Edvard Grieg.
The band is David Cook on keys/piano, Bob Lanzetti on guitars, Keita Ogawa on percussion, Jordan Perlson on drumset and last but not least, my partner in musical crime- producer of the project, Michael League, who plays bass. All amazing players, each of them with vast musical experience, all sharing their talents with me and investing themselves into my music.

My last album was recorded 98% live, with minimal overdubs and post production- a very real live snapshot of the music and where I was at the time! With my second record, I will take a different route. I am not cutting any corners in making this record the most complete, lush, well thought through and prepared work I have done so far! The music is ready, the musicians are ready and I am beyond ready to share this music with you.

This being said, we need help to make this happen, and this is where your help can come in! We need to raise $8000.00 to supplement out own funds to complete this record. Being an independent artist is amazing in the way that you get to write, sing and share music that is 100% yours, but is less amazing in the way of shouldering the financial aspect of recording, mixing, mastering, grafic design and duplication.
I am hoping that, with your help, we can raise enough to be able to complete this record. The campaign is an all or nothing deal- either we raise the full amount, or nothing, meaning this album will not see the light of day. There are perks to sweeten the deal even more, and you can pick and choose rewards (early access to the record, signed copies, visiting us in the studio, food (!!!) home concerts, lessons etc)- all a way for us to thank you for supporting the music and this project!

So check out the video, see us in 100% live action and get an idea of the music. I hope you'll like what you see and hear and want to support our project!

Thank you
Lots of love, Hildegunn.
