About this project

I recently wrote a play for my local children's theater, the Floyd Young Actors Co-op. It is about a boy band that tries emulating the Beatles for commercial success. Regardless of how good my play might be, the actors are terrific and the director is very talented and they deserve the means to put on a great show. I figure that for $500 bucks we can cover the cost of dues for our low income actors, plus pay for some new sets and costumes. Of course, they could always use more. How about helping them out? For the kids? And art? How can you go wrong?

Also, space is limited on the $50 and up rewards, so anyone accepting a reward will have to be flexible about dates.

Haden Polseno-Hensley

Straightpin Floyd, VA

Hi. My name is Haden and I live in a small town in southwest Virginia where I was born and raised. It is a swell place. After twelve years of being away, sometimes getting educated and sometimes spinning my wheels, I'm proud to call it my home. One of the best things about moving home is that I've fallen in with the local children's theater and I've written a few plays for them. I think the actors are really talented. The director also happens to be super talented and super cute. In the interest of full disclosure, I should mention she's my girlfriend. (Also, I like to mention it because she's awesome.)

Anyway, I'm a writer/teacher/carpenter/budding philanthropist/inexperienced radio producer/aspiring entrepreneur - which is to say I do a lot of things, but none of them well enough to focus on.
