It was early Spring when the banks of the Ohio River flooded in Pope County, Illinois not far from Hannah Harding's small town. When the floodwaters receded they unearthed the remains of Ed Whitehall. It had been twenty-five years since Ed was last seen around Pope County, yet anyone that had been around long enough knew how Ed met his fate.

Twenty-five years ago Roscoe "Coe" Harper left Pope County never to return. Since the day he left, he has lived a quiet life on the outskirts of Nashville as the property manager for reclusive former country music songwriter Lily Pierce. 

It was Fall when Hannah showed up at Lily Pierce's property claiming to be pregnant with Coe's grandchild - as well as being abandoned by Coe's illegitimate son. Hannah said to have come for a little mercy. A chance for her child to be raised better than she was raised. 

However, there was no baby on the way and more importantly Hannah had not come down from Southern Illinois alone. Her boyfriend Luke came with her, and with him came a distorted sense of vengeance and a taste for violence. 

While Coe is confronted with his past Hannah and Luke are confronted with their future; the harsh truths of which none of them want to acknowledge. 

We are planning on shooting the majority of the film over the weekend of November 9th, 2012, going long into the nights and early mornings. With a principal cast of four, a crew of twelve and one major location (that may be particularly costly) we are aiming for a goal of $1,250.  Your generosity can help us make a poignant and powerful short film.
