Kickstarter

Since 1996, the Cypress String Quartet has been performing great music for amazing audiences across the globe.  In our travels and through our music we've made friends everywhere we go. 

This year - we are celebrating our 15th season together - and we want to share that party with all of our listeners.  So we're hitting the road!  But instead of playing in concert halls, colleges, and churches - like we usually do - we'll be playing on the radio!  We will be recording segments both live and recorded for later broadcast, as well as video, web content and interviews.  That way - everyone can join us - whether you're in your car listening on your way home from work, or at the gym streaming your favorite classical station on your phone. 

Watch for updates - we'll post broadcast times as we get them from radio stations. Our first stops are at WQXR in New York, and Sirius XM in Washington DC!

So why do we need a kickstarter campaign? We're asking for support to help defray the costs of the tour. 

Radio stations thought this was a great idea, but they are not paying for our travel - so we need every little bit of help we can get!  We’ve done our best to keep our costs low. But still – the costs add up.  So we’re asking for help – every little bit will make a difference.

$2 will pay for a subway ride to the radio station in Manhattan.

$20 will cover our gas in San Antonio

$100 will put one of us in a hotel bed

So this holiday season - turn on your classical radio station.  Maybe you'll catch one of our interviews or performances - and as you listen – think about sending a donation our way.
