If you have ever had a dream and needed a little help to reach it or if you are just a fan of underdog teams please help us to make this project a reality. The Big Play has been 10 years in the making. We have struggled through the tough Michigan economy and tumultuous state film industry to get as far as we are now. We have gathered a group of Michigan film professionals to build a great team and are now facing the financial realities of making the movie that we really want to make. This is a passion project for us that will help us all to further our careers and attain our personal and professional goals. We hope that you can find it in your heart and your budget to support us in our endeavor. Your financial contribution is important to KICKSTARTING our film. With the money raised, we will be able to better market and organize our production. While the legal details are boring, they are important in the film business. From a marketing perspective, we need to complete our sizzle film for consideration from outside investors as well as secure a casting agent to garner interest from name talent. We are looking to have several name roles filled by name talent on this project which will consume a majority of our funding.

About the Film: The Big Play chronicles the journey of ALAN 'NAS" HASTINGS, an unemployed former college hockey standout that exists in Detroit. NAS returned home five years ago to help his family instead of pursuing his dreams of playing professional hockey. His mother died from cancer and her death has caused the remaining family members(POPS, NAS, JOHN) to slide into despair.

FITZY- a childhood friend of NAS and a smooth-talking military veteran, convinces NAS that if they win the THROWDOWN IN MOTOWN -a three day hockey tournament offering a five million dollar prize- they can turn their lives around. NAS recruits his brother JOHN to play goalie and a colorful cast of old friends to build their team - Second Wind Warriors. The THROWDOWN IN MOTOWN is sponsored by RICHARD EAGLETON, a wealthy but disgraced former Professional Hockey Coach. Teams from all over the world come to compete for the money in what becomes a struggle for survival, on and off the ice.

In the end, Alan rediscovers himself and must lead his friends to victory when he makes - THE BIG PLAY.
