Hive Robbers return to the studio to create their second album of Appalachian Rock, and all that comes with it.
Greetings From Hive Robbers
We're Hive Robbers, a Kent Ohio based folk-rock/americana band. Thanks for checking out our page.
Since the release of our first album, we've been working to produce a sound distinct to our region. Through playing together over the last two years, Hive Robbers produces a sound not specific to any one member of the band, but rather a collective sound of a group of individuals born into an apathetic generation in the Rust Belt.
Our newest collection of songs to be recorded, Rusted Earth, is the culmination of months of collective effort, and is a real representation of the people we are, and the music we make. To make this album the best we can, we need all the help we can get.
That's where you come in. While we of course will be putting up a lot of our own money for this project, that can only take us so far. With Rusted Earth, not only are we recording an entirely new album, but bringing our fans new merchandise such as t-shirts and bumper stickers.
Financial Breakdown
We don't need to tell anyone that recording an album costs money and time, but there's more to it than just the expenses of recording. Promotion and merchandise will also be taking up a large portion of the money we'll be spending over the next few months. So for your knowledge here's a little breakdown of what we'll be doing with your money:
Recording/Mastering:
Hive Robbers will be recording in July at Bad Racket Studios in Cleveland. For the time we'll be putting in this will cost us roughly $1200.
Publishing/Packaging:
We want this album to be visually pleasing as well, no one wants an album that looks like a mix CD someone made after a break-up. To do this, we'll be spending in the area of $800.
Merchandise:
We've never really had any merchandise to speak of other than our album, and that's always been a complaint. So with your help, we'll be ordering t-shirts, stickers, and hopefully more. This will come out to around $800.
