Upcoming test build and some lemonades for your mouth.

Update #1 · Apr 2, 2012 · 2 comments

Ahoy sailors, thanks so much for helping us reach our base goal so quickly! We're hard at work acquiring supplies and preparing to try out some flotation ideas at the BYOL Workshop/Experimentation in Alameda next weekend. Hope to see some of you out there.

We've also been experimenting with lemonade recipes! If you want to play along at home, here are a few ideas:

  • Strawberry lemonade with agave nectar
  • Cucumber mint lemon water
  • Watermelon honey thyme lemonade
  • Shrimp lemonade with ramen seasoning packet (not recommended)

We're fanatically excited about the possibility of making laser and LED art -- we've already put together a great design for the laser piece and written an interactive API to control the LEDs. We just need a little more support to push this project over the top, so please tell a friend, pass along a link to this project, and help us take Ephemerisle to the next level.

Keep it smooth,

Lemonade & Lasers

I don't think the lemon acidity is sufficient to combat bacterial growth, but then again there's not much nutrition in it for bacteria to feed on. I'd trust it for 24 hours at room temp and a week in the fridge.

The cuke-mint thingy looks purrrrrrfect for a gal trying to lower her empty calorie intake. What's the feasibility of whipping up a big batch of this to consume over the course of days? Is the pH low enough to discourage bacteria growth if you wanna pack a giant thermos-jug on a warm day?
