Kickstarter

I've been writing music and playing guitar since I was 9. I come from a family of musicians and music has always been a central theme in my life. My dad tells me he can remember me at 2 years old trying to get the guitar out of his hands when he was playing to me. I've written hundreds of songs but up until now have only ever shared them with my family and friends and have never recorded before. 

About 2 years ago my dad was diagnosed with an aggressive lymphoma cancer.  he shared with me one night that he loved listening to my music but that it also made him sad to think that I wasn't sharing it with the world. It wasn't until he said that to me that I realized how scared I had been all these years to let people into such a vulnerable part of my universe. My dad really encouraged me to record this album and I am so thankful that he did because it has been the most amazing experience of my life and I don't think I have ever been happier. 

I am currently recording in the studio with an amazing engineer/co-producer/dear friend Robinson Eikenberry. We have recorded 7 songs thus far and the album is full of talented musicians; Glen Phillips of Toad the Wet Sprocket is singing harmonies, the world renowned, David Piltch ( K.D. Lang's stand up bassist for many many years) is an amazing addition to have on the record, Connor Weinstein of Stereo Drive is playing lead guitar and electric bass, Norm Block of The Child is drumming along with Austin Beede and more to come! 

We Really Need Your Help to finish this album. We still have 3 more songs to be recorded and then there are the costs of mastering the album, pressing the c.d.'s, and graphic design costs so we can get it in your hands. 100 % of the money generated here will go to recording and pressing this record. I will need more than what I am asking, but the way Kickstarter works is you only get to keep the money if your "goal" is 100 % funded, otherwise everyone's money is refunded- so I wanted to make sure I could at least reach the goal I have set.
