Inspirational stories of tragedy & triumph from those most affected by the Station nightclub fire that occurred on February 20, 2003

The Station will be produced as a feature film and web series documentary that will tell individual stories of tragedy, triumph and inspiration directly by those people who were most affected by Station nightclub fire, which occurred on February 20, 2003 in West Warwick, RI.  It was the fourth deadliest nightclub fire in U.S. history, claiming one hundred lives and injuring hundreds more.  The film will be released and the web series will launch on the 10th anniversary of the Station fire, February 20, 2013. The web series, which will continue to share stories by survivors, family members, first responders, medical personnel and others, will be released in sequential episodes on a weekly basis for an indefinite period.

  • Who is directing? Who is editing? And who is Paul Lonardo?

    David Bettencourt, director of the critically-acclaimed "You Must Be This Tall:  The Story of Rocky Point Park, is directing.

    Katie Roach is editing.  She has been editing all of the commercials for Alex and Ani, and is currently working on a web series for them as well.

    And Paul Lonardo is a local author, who wrote a book with Station survivor Gina Russo entitled, "From the Ashes."  He wrote the outline for the documentary and is helping David with producing the film.
