About the Book: THE ADVENTURES OF THE 19XX has been continuously published as a webcomic since 2009. The 19XX is a secret organization that is working to prevent WWII before it happens. They have seen the future and glimpsed the horrors of war, and now they travel the globe gathering machines, powerful allies, and ancient relics with the hope of stopping the coming war. In 1934, they travel to Mexico in their advanced airship, the Carpathian. They arrive to find a cult attempting to resurrect the Aztec ruler, Montezuma.  Montezuma wants to raise an army and claim a piece of the globe for himself. The 19XX is forced to enlist the help of the paranormal investigator, Doyle Flannigan, and a group of air pirates, called The Devil Wings. But the Cult of the Fifth Sun has powerful allies as well! It will take all of the ammunition and aircraft at The 19XX's disposal to defeat Montezuma and the Temple of the Sun Cult.

MONTEZUMA 1934 is a 135 page, hardcover, stand-alone story that builds on The Adventures of the 19XX series. This is the second book in a planned 6 book series but serves as an excellent jumping on point for new readers. The completed book is at the printer and should arrive at the end of September and then be shipped out as soon as I have them in hand!  The book offers plenty of pulp, dieselpunk action appropriate for ages 12 and up. If you like steampunk, vintage aviation, or alternate history then you'll love this series! 

About Me: My name is Paul Roman Martinez and I did all of the artwork and the writing. I also designed all of the rewards. Making this comic is my full time job, I'm 100% self published! I've worked very hard on this book and I'm extremely proud of the result. If you have any questions for me, just ask in the comments section and I'll answer! For the first book in the 19XX series I earned a nomination for the Russ Manning Most Promising Newcomer award at the 2011 Eisner awards.

About the Kickstarter: All of the money raised here will go toward the printing of the book. I'm completely self published, and I do all my own work, which means everything I sell I have to design myself and then pay to get printed! My kickstarter goal is the bare minimum I need to get the book printed, but the actual costs are about double.  If I reach my funding goal, I have some great bonus items and stretch goals planned! And remember, the way Kickstarter works is if I don't reach my funding goal then no one gets charged any money.  It's all or nothing!

About the Rewards:
