I treasure my pin. I love the fact that I am wearing the art that I helped support. I feel like a proud auntie! Thank you for keeping us included in the birthing of this project. I think selling the elements is brilliant! Your work is everything I look for in art; creative, inclusive, referential, has a high degree of craftsmanship and just seems so full of love and care. I am so glad I got to know you and your art.

Thanks so much for your feedback, Marla and Christina! (I'd love to see a photo of that shadow box too!) I appreciate your support of this project!

Thank you so much Hilary! I love my brooch. It looks adorable in a small shadow-box frame, with the postcards as the matte.

Your latest update really puts the project in perspective. I wish I had the a)funds and b)space to have this work. It deserves to be seen by many all the time, so hopefully the purchaser has a public space or a generous heart. :-) You tire me just hearing about your long hours--just be glad you're not doing a ceiling.

I will invite everyone via a Kickstarter update and then when I send your thank you letter, I'll include the show announcement. Thanks for the enthusiasm Jody!! It makes my 12 hour days a lot more inspiring knowing that there are people besides me who are excited to see how this is going to turn out!

I can't WAIT to come down to Portland to see the show. We'll all get an invite I hope. :-)

Thanks everyone! I don't have any plans to travel this show since I'm selling the original work right out of it, but I will confess that my brain is working on another William Morris inspired installation and it will have legs.

Hello Ms. Hilary Pfeifer, your kickstarter project is awesome! Any possibility of a showcase in a New York City Art Gallery? May I predict a future masterpiece! Best wishes!

Connected as Hilary Pfeifer (909 friends)

I have two personas as an artist--one is under my own name, where I create craft-influenced sculptures and installations that speak about the relationships between humans and nature. I have shown this work with Velvet da Vinci Gallery, the Museum of Contemporary Craft, Fuller Craft Museum, Tacoma Art Museum, Indianapolis Art Center, and the Victoria and Albert Museum.

I have a deep love of design, so I sometimes work under an alter ego: Bunny with a Toolbelt. This body of work includes small figurative sculptures that are sometimes functional (nativity sets, wedding cake toppers.) Bunny with a Toolbelt perfectly encapsulates my love for learning and working in many different art media with my fondness for occasionally appearing in public in a big floppy bunny suit.

In addition to Etsy, I sell my Bunny with a Toolbelt work at the Museum of Contemporary Craft, Oregon College of Art and Craft, The Center for Art in Wood, and Crafty Wonderland's biannual bazaar in my hometown Portland, Oregon. The work I show on my Etsy site has been featured in the Style section of the Sunday New York Times, Brides Magazine, and ReadyMade Magazine, among others.
