Welcome to the Blindside Kickstarter page let me tell you how I got here...with the Image Comics 20 year anniversary coming in 2012 I got inspired to return to my roots. In 1992, I was a 19 year old rookie with the most amazing opportunity to be involved in the biggest revolution comics has ever seen! I was lucky enough to be the penciler on Extreme Studios mega hit Brigade. The creative energy during that time was the most amazing thing I ever experienced, and just the thinking about it got those creative juices flowing again. So I decided to bring back my favorite creation from that period, a character called BLINDSIDE. Due to the fact that Blindside #1 shipped right before Rob Liefeld and Extreme Studios left Image Comics, only one issue came out. However the book had strong sales for that time period ( We outsold the Savage Dragon and Alan Moore's first issue of Supreme the month it shipped.) Fan reaction was amazing, to this day at every convention I attend people constantly ask when will I bring Blindside back...finally the answer is 2012! I wanted to wait till the time was right and I had the story I wanted to tell fleshed out...well that time is now. With the help of my friends and fans I hope to raise enough money to produce this book the way I envision it. That means surrounding myself with some great talent. All the money you pledge will go to paying the amazingly talented people I have gotten to agree to be involved in this project. With proper promotion I feel that I can prevent Blindside from falling through the cracks in struggling comic book market. Some things I can promise you: All 4 issues will be finished before the first issue ships. (I would love to have the book ship in January) This book will hit the ground running and won't slowdown 4 issues of high octane action and kick ass visuals! Don't get me wrong there is plenty of story we just won't go at a snails pace to tell it! ( I personally think one off the problems with comics now is 20 pages of talking heads in most of the major books. ) Bad ass variant covers from some industry superstars. Anyone who pledges will be happy to be part of this project so I hope you guys think enough of Blindisde to pledge some of your hard earned money, $5 or $500 I appreciate everyone who gets involved in this endeavor. BLINDSIDE 2012...No one saw this coming!

This is more for for any comic store owners who might be interested. you get the full MVP package. Plus I will draw a pin-up of Blindside in front of your store (if a store owner would like to be in the picture I will ad you in) and run it as an ad in all 4 issues, you keep the original art. When #1 comes out I will come out to your store ( I will pay my travel Expenses.)and do a series launch signing. Plus forever sing your praises to anyone I know!!!

I grew up in Los Angeles CA, where I first fell in love with comics working as a store clerk at the Golden Apple comic book store. At 13 while at a local comic book convention I met another aspiring young artist Rob Liefeld (16 at the time) we struck up a friendship and kept in touch. Years later as Rob Liefeld was working on Marvel Comic’s New Mutants he hired me on a fresh out of high school as his assistant. It didn’t take long before Rob realized I was ready to step up and start penciling my own book… he offered me Brigade. I was the first Image Comics rookie and Brigade was a phenomenal success. I have had a long and successful career in both comic books and as a freelance graphic designer. He currently resides in Fullerton, CA where he freelances as a graphic designer and comic book illustrator. My current assignments include Marvel Comics DEADPOOL CORPS #10-12 and an Army of Darkness mini-series at Dynamite Entertainment.
