Everything was going well in the Kingdom of Beltaine, until the Princess Morrigan was kidnapped by the sinister Maletar.
The King of Beltaine assembled his greatest knights to meet the challenge of Maletar. In one year, to the day, Maletar would return to the king's court for a duel and only the bravest and most worthy knight among them could challenge him to single combat.
Bound by honor to meet this challenge and to save the princess Morrigan, each of the Knights of the Realm will seek to prove to the king, over the course of a year, that he is the equal of this great task. Maletar is a powerful foe and renowned to be the greatest swordsman in history.
Morrigan is a card game in which the players compete to gather as much prestige as possible in the eyes of the King of Beltaine.
Each of them will seek out the most harrowing of trials and bring back the most incredible trophies to gain the right to confront the terrible Maletar and to free the Princess Morrigan from his grasp.
Morrigan is a medium-light strategy card game based on hand management, bluffing, and risk assessment. Morrigan is easy to learn and plays quickly, with little to no downtime between player actions. Morrigan allows all players to feel relevant at every step of the game, as victory is never out of reach for any of them. Morrigan features magnificent art and an engaging story that draws players into the kingdom of Beltaine. Come join the quest!
Morrigan was developed a long time ago during a trip with friends. The weather was gloomy and we had to find a way to enjoy the day. The first prototype was really light (Old school Pen and Paper) but we realized there that the game had potential.
After some years left alone, Morrigan came out the game closet for refinement, tests and cosmetics. It was soon ready to hit the shelves in French game shops.
The game was well received by game reviewers and the game was as small success in France (Rated 4.4/5 on Tric-Trac, a french BGG relative and lot of success during fairs).
We were so happy to see our little game, made just for family and friends, grow up and be sold around the country !
We are now setting our sights on the next step: publishing an English language version of Morrigan. With your help, it's possible !
With almost no network in the USA and only a small amount of money to promote a game, it's almost impossible to produce something like a boardgame and meet with success.
We want to build our fame in the new world with your help and nobody else. No market research is needed, you are the only judge of the quality of our game. If you like it, promote it and support it enough, we will produce it for you and send it across the world to be released in the USA !
