Hello Everyone!
So we’ve had a little change of plans… It looks like it will cost more than we thought to get the bus on the road in California (thanks to permits and an $800 minimum on taxes), so it’s just not going to be feasible for us this summer  But we are not giving up on the bus! We are going to make a stronger push towards online sales and get the bus to as many markets as we can around Reno for the rest of summer and, hopefully, build enough of a following and make enough money for us to be able to have a solid summer on the bus next year! 

It’s been a rollercoaster so far… with each new day bringing a couple things get us really excited but also dragging with it a few more to really bum us out. It’s unbelievable how much we have learned and we have really realized there is no substitute for just simply doing it and moving forward; no amount of planning could prepare us for everything we have run into and we are really going to make a better effort to keep our blog updated so we can bring you along for the ride. So far we haven’t done much as far as updates besides our instagram ,@theshortsbus, but in the near future keep checking back to our blog on our website,http://branchclothing.com/the-blog/ , for all the news regarding the progress of the bus (or any obstacles we run into). 

 
But first things first, Kickstarter orders are of course the top of our list! We got some more of the shorts orders in the mail today and we will have the rest of the shorts as well as the skirts in the mail by Monday. Backpacks and shorts with side pockets will be done and shipped by Wednesday! If you have any questions don’t hesitate to reach out to us!

Wow, did we really just make over $1,300 today?!  I can't even describe the feeling we have... an inexplicable combination of incredulity and immense gratitude. We could not be more excited to start pumping out the rewards and get this show on the road.  We are so happy to know that this dream that we have tossing around and playing around with for over a year can finally become a reality. The write-up in the Reno Gazette-Journal was huge and really captured the feeling behind the project, but most importantly it let people know how they could play a role at this stage in our journey, which was exactly what we needed! We went to bed Tuesday night only being funded 35% (and I have to admit, we started throwing some plan b's around..)  but only 15 hours later we were over 100% funded...incredible! 

Thank you, thank you, thank you.. We can't say it enough and we really mean it.  Let's keep spreading the word to see what we can do!  At this point, the more we continue to earn the more we can put toward better fabrics, machines, and the coolest website you have ever seen.

Hey everybody!

We are officially 35% of the way to our goal! We are very thankful to everyone who has contributed so far, but we still need a little more help as our deadline approaches very quickly. Only four more days! In those last four days we are making big progress here in Reno. One of our exciting accomplishments: The Shorts Bus will be featured in the Reno Gazette Journal tomorrow! We were interviewed and had a lot of fun pictures taken showing you some of our newest shorts and they will all be displayed in an article that will be in tomorrow's paper. So if you are in the Reno area, please pick up a copy of the Reno Gazette Journal tomorrow, Wednesday, June 6th. If you are one of our out-of-state supporters, you can check out our article on rgj.com in the business section. Or watch for the link on our KickStarter homepage, just in case you missed it! Our second big accomplishment: We get to be part of our first Farmer's Market tomorrow! We will be at the Midtown Farmer's Market located on Thoma Street and Virginia Street from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday night. It will be our first time taking our big blue bus out on the road and it will be a true test of hopefully how our summer will turn out. We are very excited for all of the new happenings that we get to be a part of as we finish our final preparations before our big adventure. We have definitely been very busy getting everything together, but could not be happier doing it!
