Based on a super-duper true story about cuddling and being okay with expressing who you are.
This is a simple project with a clear goal. Devon and Craig would like to get this short comedy film, about a couple who bend gender roles to the breaking point, produced in the next month. Devon wrote the original script in 2011 for an actor-friend, Ryan J. Hill, star of the hilarious Los Angeles production of "The Spidey Project: With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility" (2012). Ryan is an incredible talent. We have a professional director of photography, and an awesome location fell into our laps at the right time. All we need now is a little more money for lighting and sound equipment that we will need on the set, and for the invariable post-production costs (editing, foley, music, color correction, and sound). We want this to be a super production, for the benefit of you, the viewer, and the filmmakers and actors involved. We know that 1,000 dollars is a small budget, but thankfully we have Craig Carroll, a visionary producer whose penny pinching and resourcefulness will keep the costs low so we can keep the laughs high. Of course, with generous pledges we can make the project even better!
Filming begins Sept 1st, less than 30 days away, in Los Angeles. Those who pledge a certain amount will be provided with a digital copy of the finished product. Soon thereafter, the project's website will be launched for the whole world to visit, watch, laugh and wonder. Ultimately, depending on funds, fun products like shirts, pins and stickers that mention the concept of the little spoon will be made.
