About this project
Quail Bell Express is the first print zine spawned from its online momma, Quail Bell Magazine (www.quailbellmagazine.com). The first print issue was released in a limited run in early October 2011 in Richmond, Virginia. Shortly after the release, QB’s Managing Editor, Josephine Stone, was struck by a car and killed. Wanting to honor Josie in the most appropriate way possible, Quail Bell Express is being re-released, featuring more of the amazing writing Josie was known for. Once funded, the 'zine will be distributed citywide, available at all of Josie’s old haunts and hopefully bringing some of her spirit back too.
