Somewhere in all of us lives the "American Dream". You know the one: wanting to someday make yourself wildly successful just through your own doing. Sometimes this means opening your own business, and it did for Ashlee Perkins.

Ashlee has worked in the wedding and sculpted cake industry for almost 7 years.  Having fallen into the world of artistic pastries with little knowledge of it, Ashlee found that her sculpture training lent itself easily to sculpted cakes. She flourished, and went on to compete in five episodes of "Food Network Challenge", be published in several magazines, and gain fame amongst the growing cake industry.

When Ashlee was presented with the opportunity to purchase an existing cake business from a friend who wanted to change careers, she jumped on it. However, despite months of contacting banks and trying to find funding to purchase the business, Ashlee came up with just enough cash to be able to get the keys to the shop.

But the money has already run out quickly. TIER Luxury Cakes, based in Savannah, provides the Southeast with beautiful sculpted birthday cakes, wedding cakes, and event cakes, and Savannah has come to love her work. Unfortunately, for now, the costs of rehabilitating the old business have become overwhelming. Ashlee would love to continue to offer her new home state the best in sculpted pastries, but she can't do it alone!

We're asking for just a measly $3,500 to keep the lights on at TIER Luxury Cakes. This money will be used as working capital to help get our feet off the ground. 

In addition, TIER has a focus on the community and helping others. By giving us the working capital we need to get moving, we can then use that success to help support other local businesses and charities.  

Every city wishes they had their own "Ace of Cakes" - help it become true for Savannah!
