About this project

What would you do if you found something that could endanger the lives of others?

Army Sergeant Paul Paine faced that decision, and did what most honest people would do: He took the matter to his upper chain of command. Trouble is, they had caused the dangerous situation in the first place, and were involved in other illegal activities. Paine then faced years of retaliation, a fact confirmed by a Department of Defense Inspector General investigation.

Sergeant Paine” is a compelling and powerful short documentary about the true events that occurred during this brave and honest soldier's fight for truth and justice. Watch the short video to learn more about Paine's dramatic real-life ordeal, and how you can help play a part in telling this story.

Please help us raise $25,000 to bring this short documentary to stellar form to compete at numerous film festivals. These funds will be used for completion and promotional expenses, such as:

• Licensing archival footage of Paine at Ft. Lewis
• Fine-tuning the sound mix
• Studio rental for voice-overs
• Research
• Legal fees
• Initial run of DVDs

Sgt. Paine never achieved full resolution and continues his fight for justice. This riveting film will
bring the nation's attention to the way the military protects only those within the ranks who follow
orders, legal or illegal, in spite of the Whistleblower Protection Act. Our goal for the final cut is to bring new attention to Paine's ordeal, and to inspire audiences nationwide to support truth and justice for whistleblowers. Thanks so much for your interest in our story!
