The Sapientii (pronounced: Sapien-Tee) is a fictional secret society that you and your opponents in the board game will compete to join, be initiated into and rise in power. Your ultimate goal: join the inner circle—the cabal. The structure of the Sapientii and game play are based on ancient symbols and elements from several known secret societies: The Skull and Bones, Freemasons, Illuminati, Rosicrucians, Knights Templar, Bilderberg Group, Bohemian Society and more. Will you have what it takes? 

Who likes 3D miniatures, because we do! 

To begin, players select their favorite character (miniature). Choose wisely though; each character will evolve and gain skills during play.

On your turn, roll a die and move that number of spaces, but navigate through the board’s winding and branching checkered path wisely. The checkered floor is the Freemason's symbol for walking through the good and bad in life, and the path you choose will affect your character.  

When your character lands on a white space, a card will be drawn from the white deck and you will be presented with a trivia question to prove your worth by knowledge. When your character lands on a black space, a card will be drawn from the black deck and you will be presented with a puzzle challenge to prove your worth through action. Both the trivia and puzzle cards are designed to assess your knowledge of secret societies, signs, symbols, and other esoteric knowledge. Answering any card correctly will have added rewards; fail and your turn ends.

 Several red spaces are also mixed into the board’s path. If you land on a red space, draw a red power card, read it and hold it in secret. You can use it at any time during game play to your advantage. Using the red cards will demonstrate your grasp of strategy and power to the inner circle. If you are thrown into an old fashion pistol dual...don't say we didn't warn you.

To win you must not only reach the inner circle but also be holding one of the Sapientii's talisman- an artifact of great importance and power. You may collect a talisman as a reward by answering one of a few rare cards, or steal one from an opponent, but don't come to the inner circle empty handed.

Red Deck (Power cards)

The Sapientii amass influence over society by recruiting and grooming people that have power or “useful” skill sets.  There are 14 game characters selected for consideration on this year’s recruitment list. The recruits include a sexy assassin, a rouge CIA agent, a seductive spy, a business mogul,  a rising movie star, a 33° Mason, a Russian black-market dealer, an exotic poisons expert, an overlooked sorority leader, a hacker, a shadowy masked man, a mobster, a symbols and ciphers expert and “VIC”—a scrappy knives expert that doesn’t mind getting his hands dirty. 

We've already accomplished a lot with a little (budget) but now we need to pull out the big guns. With your help we will be able to finalize the board game’s design and graphics; finish our research of known secret societies and symbols; generate the playing cards; license the game; manufacture and package the games; ship them to you and our warehouse; and then market the best board game ever—that should be easy.
