We've launched an exciting new project of our own! Introducing the Kickstarter app for iPhone!

A mockumentary parodying the ridiculous people and events one encounters in filmmaking.

Who We Are

Matt Kenny and Peter Horgan are Emerson College film students.  After fostering a friendship at Emerson’s Kasteel Well program in Holland, Matt and Peter quickly realized their shared senses of humor would make for great writing collaborations.  After Matt worked as an actor in Peter’s directorial debut, their experiences on that set made them realize the comedic potential of what goes on behind the scenes in a student film.  Starting in November, Matt and Peter began co-writing and co-producing a mock documentary about film students and are currently devoting their hearts and souls to making the project come to life.  Come this May, Peter is slated to direct, while Matt is set to line produce.

What We’re Doing

“Moving Mountains” is the story of Guy Mendry, a film student whose hubris is so great that he has hired a documentary crew to record the process of making his first project at film school.  Guy works tirelessly to bring an impossibly difficult project to life, working side by side with his cinematographer and best friend, Phillip Handles.  Guy’s difficulties are compounded by naysaying teachers and an apathetic thuggish producer known as Smitty.  Will Guy bring his dreams to life?

Why We’re Asking for Your Help

Our extremely talented cast and crew have all agreed to work without a salary.  We are students, and we’re all trying to gain experience in our respective crafts.  We’re doing everything in our power to produce this film for as little as possible.  Local businesses are donating food.  Friends are allowing us time with their cars and apartments.  However, certain things in filmmaking require money.  We’ve included a budget, so you know where your money is going.

If You Want to Help, But Can’t Afford to Donate

We totally understand.  We are humbly asking that you pass this along to anyone you know who may be interested in supporting independent art.
