Happy New Year Everybody! 

We are down to the hours of this campaign! 64 to be exact! Seeing it all unfold has been nothing short of incredible and exciting and surprising. The interesting people and projects that I've encountered through this process has been amazing. Thank you kickstarter! And thank you supporters! And thank you to the people who don't know who I am and still watched the video or clicked like on my facebook page! It ain't all about the money, though it sure does feel good to know that I'm gonna really be able to do this. 

2012 was a major year for me. I got my road wings with the Carolina Chocolate Drops playing at Carnegie Hall, on Austin City Limits, on the Jules Holland Show in England, at the Library of Congress, touring through Europe, and playing at tons of music festivals, meeting tons of musicians. It was exciting and overwhelming but it made me realize that I really want to do this. And I'm doing it! You can't really ask for much more.... 

I've had great correspondence with my co-producer, Joe "bass" DeJarnette, and the songs for the album are really coming into shape. I can't wait to drive up to Floyd in just 11 short days and be at Joe's studio and let some magic happen.  

I woke up this morning with my voice gone, so this New Years Day, I am shutting my mouth and starting a pre-recording regimen of extreme self care. Ringin it in right! Just gotta get my voice back.... I'm hoping tomorrow.
