What is Obsession?

Obsession is a short film about one man's struggle to choose between his passion and the people he loves. As the film progresses, we see the consequences of Shaun's decision to forsake everything to pursue his dream.

What is Way Up There Productions?

Way Up There Productions is a film production company founded on June 14, 2011 by a group primarily consisting of college students, each with different backgrounds all relating to various aspects of filmmaking.  Obsession is our first major project and as such we decided to turn to kickstarter to raise money to make the film a reality.

How does funding work?

Kickstarter is an all-or-nothing platform used to raise money for creative projects.  This means that if our minimum goal ($750) is not met then no ones creditcard is charged and we receive no money.  However we CAN exceed our goal, so even if we've made our goal and you want to fund us, please do!

What will the funds be used for?

Our minimum barebones budget is $750 which is enough to cover the essentials such as sound, lighting, props, costumes, make up, and the video camera we currently own.  However if we exceed that goal (we've made an ideal budget for up to $3600) we can rent or purchase additional equipment to improve the overall look of the film.
