The Skinny:

• Raising funding for our short film (post-production, film festival entry fees)

• World Premiering our film at Live Body Sushi Red Carpet Premiere Party, November 17th, 2012. (Orange County)

What we are doing:

     Act Three is an independent short film that was born out of our desire to create a project we'd be proud to call our own. We are two independent filmmakers that have been working in the industry for years. We both directed, produced and wrote this together so this is our baby project. We didn’t have enough time to get a kickstarter project to fund this project from the get go, so we scrapped up as much money from family and all of our savings so we could to finance this film. We were confident that we would be able to run a successful kickstarter campaign after the production. Now we would like your assistance in taking this film to the next level.

Where the money goes:

We will be doing 3 things with the funding from this project.

• Paying for the costs of post production for this film. (Editing, Color, & Sound)
• Paying for expenses related to the Live Body Sushi Premiere Party on Nov, 17th 2012.
• Lastly with the remainder of the money we will be submitting this film into as many film festivals as we can.

The film festival route can be a very expensive one, but with your contributions we can make it happen.

Who we are:

       We feel very confident that we will be able to produce a final product that will be very successful in the film festival circuit. We have an incredible cast and crew that we’d like to highlight.

     First off our A.D. and Producer Patrick Syre, the third musketeer in our small team. He has work for a number of studios, including Sony, Paramount, and Universal. Along with his business partners, He managed to gather a half million dollar funding for his first feature entitled "Stacy's Mom" which he co-wrote, co-produced and Directed in 2008 (Shot on RED).  Patrick has held a multitude of positions as a freelance Producer, including a recently finished feature film entitled "American Animal", as well as a variety of music videos and commercials. American Animal was just acquired by Screen Media Films for a theater release in New York in May, 2012, followed by DVD release this summer.

      Our main cast member Megan Nguyen is an accomplished well-rounded artist. She is a professional dancer, actress and stunt woman. She has appeared on shows such as “Leverage,” and “Shake It Up” and recently did some stunt work for the latest Spiderman 3 film. Her talent, dedication and energy were a big part our film and we were so happy she wanted to be apart of our team.

      Our Director of Photography, Cooper Donaldson, is notably our most experienced crew member. He has worked on TV shows such as “Bones”, “New Girl” and “Charmed”. Recently he worked on “The Dark Knight Rises” as a lighting technician. His wisdom guided us in the right direction, as he helped light and frame it our vision.

A little bit about the directors:

      For most of the 24 years of his life, Director Vince Pham has been surrounded by photography and video. Starting with his family business, Vince picked up wedding photography and video at the very young age of 13. He has since progressed technically very quickly and has always been able adapt to the growth of digital film making. This year he purchased his own own RED camera. Vince has worked on such projects as the behind the scenes/EPK for the “Transformers” movie, Director of Photography for an independent feature film, and Director of Photography for a music video “The Outside Ones” by Gangi.

     Co-Director/Co-D.P./Writer Tony Toka graduated from UC Santa Barbara with degrees in Film Studies and Asian American studies.  His experience in film making, acting, and writing has led him to a variety of positions in the entertainment industry including Director, Camera Operator, Video Editor, Producer, Director Of Photography, Assistant Director, Actor and Poet.  He has a strong background directing Behind the Scenes/EPK/Documentaries and has had several of his short films in film festivals around America.  In 2010 he went to Vietnam to work on a 50 episode TV drama series, after which he stayed in Vietnam for a year and worked throughout Asia on Music Videos and Commercials.

     We'd like to invite you the world premiere of our film.  We are rolling out the red carpets and selling tickets to raise funds for our film.  We've been lucky enough to team up with Sushi Artist Vu Nguyen to present a Live Body Sushi Premiere Party for invited guests.  Our entire crew and cast will be present and you'll be able to mingle and tingle with some of OC and LA's most talented artists & filmmakers.
