Stories for Dinner tells the story of eight strangers brought together by a Journalism extra credit project.
Stories for Dinner is about what happens when Danny, a failing Journalism student, engineers an extra credit project where he recruits a group of people who have extraordinary true stories to tell to come to his apartment for dinner. What ensues involves romance, laughter, heartache, suspense and ultimately elation.
This is the maiden voyage for Boston-based film outfit Rare Mint Productions. Rare Mint was formed by three local actors wanting more input and control in the narrative filmmaking process. Focusing on dialogue and interpersonal communication, Rare Mint puts the theme of relationships and the formation of human identity through community participation in the forefront.
