My Teenage Stride New Album

Acclaimed musical group/recording project My Teenage Stride is making preparations for a new full-length album. My Teenage Stride started in 2003 as the bedroom/hallway/basement recording project of Jedediah Smith. Eventually a small buzz grew and Smith took his songs into the world with a shifting cast of band members. After two albums and two 7"s received much adulation in the global cult pop community, MTS arrived at large with 2007's Ears Like Golden Bats, a sort of aural encyclopedia of 60s pop and 80s post-punk put through the spooky and idiosyncratic prism of Smith's particular emotional and cultural obsessions. The album landed MTS on countless "best of" lists for '07,including a spot right above Black Lips in Magnet's top 20 albums of 2007, and, more recently, on several "best of the decade" lists. "To Live And Die In The Airport Lounge" is still in constant rotation in bars, on playlists and on podcasts everywhere. In 2008, MTS released its first true "full band" EP, "Lessor Demons", and this year has been delivering a single a month (including some b-sides and two EPs) for the entire year.
MTS is planning to work with legendary producer/musician Marc Kramer (Butthole Surfers, Galaxie 500, Bongwater) on this album and your donations can help make it happen.
