THE HAPPY SAD locks picture and begins sound editing!
Dear Backers,
I am very happy to write that we have officially locked picture on THE HAPPY SAD!!! We recently received grants from The NY State Council on the Arts (NYSCA), Frameline and Philadelphia Independent Film and Video Association (PIFVA). These funds allowed us to hire editor extraordinaire Sabine Hoffman (THE BALLAD OF JACK AND ROSE, BROTHER TO BROTHER) for six weeks of final picture editing and composer Peter Broderick who wrote a fantastic score for the film.
I have recently been working on short documentary special features for our DVD. The first of which is an on-set interview with lead actor LeRoy McClain (MARCUS). It is posted on vimeo for you to check out here:
We are set to begin 5 weeks of sound editing and mixing on July 23rd and currently need to raise an additional $2k in funds to cover the sound editor's salary.
