About the film:
The Dolls of Lisbon is New York City’s Antagonist Art Movement’s latest calling. Featuring artists from The United States, Ecuador, Portugal, and fellow Antagonist Artists in Europe. This documentary focuses on the labors of the artist, begging the question: If you knew being an artist would be this much of a struggle, would you still have taken this path?
In addition, the film also includes a unique soundtrack of underground musicians, and an innovative use of Super 8mm film and stop motion animation.
This film has taken us three years to make and now we are ready to put it on a DVD.
With your help, we will make 1,000 DVD copies of our new film. We plan to donate a supply of these DVDs to some of the community-based art groups with which we work and, in turn, they will be able to sell the DVDs to support their own projects. A box of thirty DVDs will be sent to the artists in Lisbon, another box of thirty DVDs will be sent to artists in Ecuador and a smaller supply will be sent to artists in Germany, Italy and France. The rest of the DVDs will be used to raise funds for future art projects.
"The Dolls Of Lisbon" running time is 75 minutes in Region 1 - NTSC format - color. It is not rated.
The DVD will include a cover and enclosed will be one Antagonist Art Movement sticker and an insert page.
As an extra, the “The Dolls of Lisbon” DVD will have a second feature film, "The Soft Hustle" (64 min). The Soft Hustle, 1999-2000
The story of a Lower East Side low life who makes a bet for $1,000, which he promptly loses. After getting kicked out of the apartment of his girlfriend, he finds himself going home with cheap barflies, robbing East Village stores and pathetically pretending he is gay just to have a place to sleep. It has been in several film festivals. Additional extras, will be short films about other Antagonist Art Movement projects (11 min). We hope to subtitle “The Dolls of Lisbon” in English (for the hearing impaired), Spanish, French, Japanese, and perhaps one or two other languages. So please select a reward from the right hand column and hit the green button.
We try to produce quality work and, with your help, we can succeed. We hope to have our new DVD out by the fall of this year.
If we go over our goal, the additional money will help underwrite the cost of entering our film in film festivals.

A group of New York City artists travel to Berlin for 10 days, showing art in a gallery, putting up art on the streets, breaking into an abandoned building to create original artwork and making connections with Berlin artists. Film features Arturo Vega, Artistic Director of the Ramones punk rock group, Ted Riederer, an artist featured at PS1, and Nicole Gladsburn,an artist featured in the Village Voice. First place award in the Mixed Messages Festival and a third place award in the Reeling Festival, as well as having been screened in over 50 festivals worldwide.
A documentary film about Lower East Side underground bands, featuring bands such as Tribe 8, The Voluptuous Horror of Karen Black and Vitapup. This feature-length film zigzags between live performances and interviews,sketching the role of gender within the confines of a supposedly egalitarian alternative music scene.

Finalist, New York Film Festival, 1993
A short drama about a lonely woman, Lillian, who is overcome by feelings of guilt and inferiority after acquiring a sexually transmitted disease. The film explores human behavior in, and in reaction to, a situation in which an individual is affected in a devastating fashion, through no fault of her own. Finalist in the New York Film Festival and screened in the Social Outcast Festival in Atlanta, Georgia.

A festival of films, bands and zines, centered in the heart of the Lower East Side of New York.
Creator and Editor-in Chief, Psycho Moto Zine, 1988-2008
A self-published zine featuring original artwork and articles by diverse individuals. Zine was exhibited during the Alternative Youth Exhibit at the New Museum of Contemporary Art in New York City.
Writer
Co-author of the screenplay, The Stick-Up Artist, which was recognized as one of the top six entrants in the Slamdance Scriptwriting Competition and received a Merit of Excellence award. Author of script, Killing the Messenger, 2009, which is a semi-finalist, 2009, Screenplay Festival. Currently working on two memoirs, one based in Washington, DC and the other based in New York.
