Will Magid is ready to record his debut release under his own name. At 25 he has recorded and performed with many talented artists such as: Solomon Burke, Afrolicious, Pangea Collective, Soji Odukogbe (Fela Kuti), Baba Ken Okulolo, J Boogie, Kenny Burrell, Mutaytor, CocoRosie, Afrofunk Experience, Bushwalla, Vibrometers and many others. Now, Will is starting a new leg of his musical journey. As a multi-instrumentalist, producer and composer, he has many recordings in the works. This release will showcase Will's writing, producing, singing and playing.
In addition to collaborating with many artists from different genres, Will has a degree in Ethnomusicology from UCLA. He has studied music in West Africa where he played with Ghana's famous Ramblers, and has performed on five continents. This EP will cover some of that of musical ground. It will be funky when it's got to be funky. It will have Soul. There will be Latin influences, African influences, Caribbean influences, Electronic Beats, some fat Hammond Organ and, of course, plenty of hot Trumpet playing.
Will will be joined on this recording by some very talented musicians, but this will definitely be a Will Magid Production. For the first time, this talented young man is ready to put his name on the cover. It is a very exciting time, but he's asking for some help to cover basic production costs, such as: studio time, printing and distribution, and paying the musicians he's collaborating with.

Multi-instrumentalist, producer, and songwriter WILL MAGID is based in San Francisco, but performs and creates throughout the world. Musically he is a well seasoned traveler, having performed on five continents. On Thursday nights he can often be found grooving at the Afrolicious Party in SF. A regular collaborator with the legendary Baba’ Ken Okulolo and Fela Kuti’s long time lead guitarist Soji Odukogbe, he also played trumpet in the band of the late Solomon Burke. He's also worked with J-Boogie, CocoRosie, Jeremy Sole, Kenny Burrell, and many more talented artists. When he isn’t on stage Will makes time to find himself in conversations and sacred connections over a cup of steaming Earl Grey.
