Dear Salsa/Latin Jazz lovers,

Thank you so much for supporting The Last Mambo!

Because of donors like you we have been able to make incredible strides! We have added additional interview footage with musicians like Louie Romero, Pete Escovedo and radio personality Chuy Varela. We have also been able to expand our audience by attending film festival events and meet with producers, film makers and distributors from 70+ countries who represent the global film industry.

But the most exciting update is musicians like Pete Escovedo, John Santos, Jesus Diaz, Karl Perazzo, Louie Romero, Roger Glenn, David Belove, Sandy Cressman, Orestes Vilato, Melecio Magdaluyo, Jeff Cressman, Louis Fasman, Mike Olmos, Mike Galisatus, Steffen Kuehn, Wayne Wallace, Fausto Howay, Ross Wilson, Edgardo Cambon, Murray Low, Marco Diaz, Saul Sierra, Carlos Caro, Tregor Otton, John Calloway, Michael Spiro, Al Bent, Louie Romero, Camillo Landau and Benny Velarde that participated in The Last Mambo film have also recorded three new songs and/or contributed to a compilation CD we are calling, "Salsa de la Bahia Vol.1" to be released along side The Last Mambo on Patois Records.

With all of the new developments we are running a little behind schedule with your backer reward. We hope to deliver some if not all of the rewards within the coming months.

Thanks to everyone who has donated to "The Last Mambo," our story, our history and our song.  Your support has brought us closer to completing this project.

But we only have 8 more days--(deadline May 23) to collect our goal  $9500.  If we don't make our goal, I'll have to give the money back to you folks, our donors.

Thanks so much for everyone who has donated so far.  Hope to see all of you  at our fundraiser at Casa Latina Bakery 1805 San Pablo in Berkeley on April 29 from 2-5.  We'll be showing excerpts from the film at 3 PM with live music by Bahia Son and dancing at 4 PM.
