Update 1: Drakodex Laser Minis now come with a pack of special dry erase stickers!
These stickers can be marked with standard dry erase markers and erased with a quick wipe, just like a regular dry erase board. For any permanently decorated minis, you can affix these decals to the back of the mini and use them to indicate temporary conditions. Or, just draw your one-off characters onto the dry erase stickers and wipe them off when you're done!

Drakodex Laser Minis are the perfect customizable miniatures for your favorite tabletop RPG or board game!
Laser-cut from Baltic birch plywood, these miniatures snap together easily (without glue), hold together firmly, and are designed to accomodate both squares and hexes on standard 1" battlemats.
Customizable and Re-usable
Standard sticker labels attach and peel easily off the wood, which lets you re-use the miniature base with a rotating set of new pictures. Any picture you can print can be converted into a miniature, and you can easily note conditions directly on the stickers! Just peel them off when you're done!
Miniatures can also be permanently marked, such as for replacement board game pieces or player characters in an RPG. Simply draw, paint, or color directly on the miniature to your heart's desire! (The minis in each pack are etched with a stick figure to help get you started.)
Why We Need Your Help
We're asking for your support in order to place large-quantity orders on materials and move into production. If there's enough interest, we also have a few stretch goals that we're hoping to hit.
Stretch Goal 1 - $5,800: If we reach this stretch goal, we'll print sticker sheets of artwork and send them to you along with your new minis!
Stretch Goal 2 - $9,700: If we reach this goal, we'll include extra minis of different sizes with each set. If you have a player character on the shorter or taller side, they'll be able to get their own appropriately sized mini!
Stretch Goal 3 - $14,000: If we reach this stretch goal, we'll also set up a website where anyone can download and print additional sticker sheets. Whether you need a horde of marauding orcs, a legion of undead, or a replacement pot of gold for your Monopoly game, you'll always be able to easily find high-quality artwork to print as stickers for your minis!

Yes, definitely! In order to get the pieces to snap together cleanly, the surface of the wood has to be smooth to within a pretty tight tolerance. To produce the minis, the wood has to be purchased, cut, and sanded by two different wood shops before it can even go into the laser cutter. For production quantities, we also have to figure out how to efficiently package it, seal it, and ship it after the laser does its job. Unfortunately, it's cost-prohibitive to do all of these tasks for small batches of minis, which is why we're trying to raise the funds on Kickstarter to do this in a large batch!
