Our Amazing Elephant Ride
We are busy finalizing production of our second full-length album, "The Maestro and the Elephant," which we finished recording in September. Over the past year, we have toured, played steadily, been writing constantly, and have been working hard to perfect our craft and deliver quality shows to you, our amazing and supportive audience. Each day, we continue to strive for the momentum and visibility needed to make it in the music industry. This album is a true turning point for us. We wanted to “do it right,” by using a professional recording studio and top-notch producers to show you in the most amazing way possible how we have grown as writers, musicians, performers and that we are ready for this next leg of the journey on our way to becoming nationally recognized.
Why We Need Your Help
But here is the reality: the recording and production of this new album is very expensive and, without your donations, we will not be able to complete it. Our goal of $10,000 covers only about 30% of what we actually need to pay for this endeavor. We have managed to save funds from our shows and merchandise sales in past months, so we are asking for assistance in completing our overall goal of album production and touring. If we make significantly more than what we need to cover the costs of the album, all additional funds will go to touring and album promotion.

Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
The music industry is full of risks, but we have put in place solid supports around our project to help ensure its success. With seasoned management, promotional support, and a professional studio/producer behind us, we strive to mitigate these risks and deliver our product as planned. The album has been recorded at The Blasting Room Studios (Fort Collins, CO) and is currently in the process of being mixed there. We are on track for our deadlines, however, with any project there is risk of things happening that change these dates. Aside from unforeseen occurrences that would be beyond our ability to forecast them, we feel our album is on track, set for the delivery date we have planned (12/31/12) and our coinciding tour will kick off in February 2013. Tour dates are always "semi-anchored," as things can occur that affect travel, venues, or individual band members (weather, disasters, illness, etc.). However, our plan is to launch a national tour by February and go on the road to support our album throughout multiple states and stops.
