About this project

"The AirClip" is a simple, easy to use, mobile accessory for the iPhone 4 & iPhone 4S that lets users hold their iPhone steady when recording video or taking pictures.  This means no more "shaky" videos, or blurry iPhone pics!

During the beta testing of an iPhone app that I was creating, I discovered that when people wanted to record video with their mobile phone, most people held the iPhone in such a way that their videos always came out "Shaky".  So much so, that the videos were hard to watch. The same goes for photos, as most pictures I took came out blurry.

To correct this problem, I experimented with different hand positions and body positions, but nothing we did seem to work.  I soon realized that it was how I was holding the phone that made the difference.  So, I invented "The AirClip".

By helping the user hold the phone in a more natural way, The AirClip makes the iPhone more stable, and therefore greatly improve or eliminate the natural tendency people have to "shake" their phone while filming or taking pictures.

The money raised by this project will be used solely to manufacture The AirClip in Illinois.  The product will be made out of ABS plastic and we are targeting the first quarter of 2012 to launch the product.  Based on benchmarking other iPhone accessories, the retail cost of The AirClip is expected to be between $10-$20.

Unfortunately, manufacturing is not a cheap process, and as such I am asking my fellow Kickstarters to support my project.  I have already done a great deal of work on the overall design, the branding, and the patenting of the product.  Now, I just need to manufacturer it.

We think The AirClip is a great, easy to use product that solved a common problem, and could be a huge success!  So, If you've ever watched, or recorded a "Shaky" iPhone video, or taken a "blurry" iPhone picture please support us.

Thanks!
