The Stoop Chronicles is a series of original short films that will exist online and are connected by a common thread--the stoop. Each short film follows 2 characters in 1 location and runs about 5 minutes.  Every short is unique unto its own, with new characters and new settings.

We’re calling them The Stoop Chronicles because we’re setting our stories in liminal spaces like stoops, driveways, backyards, parks, loading docks, etc--transitional spaces that are filled with uncertainty and inherent tension.  While in these spaces, our characters will go through transitions of their own--whether it be a break-up, a reunion, a chance encounter or a much anticipated goodbye.

Our shorts will feature authentic characters in captivating situations, focusing on emotional moments and human connections that leave you with something to think about and more importantly, something to talk about. Our content is like those scenes you love to watch, love to ponder over and love to discuss. 

We are a group of emerging filmmakers in New York City.  We have made short films that have played and won awards at film festivals across the nation.  Now, we're bringing our unique voices together to tell new stories within the "stoop" format.

Right now we are setting out to make Season 1 of The Stoop Chronicles.  We have 6 films ready for production and many more that we're writing and developing. We’re raising funds to cover costs for both production and exhibition of the first 6 shorts. In production, we need funds for casting, locations, equipment rentals and insurance. 

While we’re making the films, we’ll also be designing a website. The site will not only be a destination to view our content, but also a hub for the audience to converse with the filmmakers, discuss the short films and engage in the creative process of The Stoop Chronicles.
