Hi everyone!
It's been a month and a half since we've released the game and feels like it's time to update you guys on where we're at.
We've initially spent a lot of time on trying to find the right party to create the mobile game for us. At one point in time the project even started, but then got rolled back due to different expectations.
Meanwhile we've been playing around with new mechanics and evaluating all of the crazy ideas we had for Season 2 -- keeping only the totally crazy ones!
Now, what we did with the Mobile game is rather interesting. We've prototyped it in our main game, made it fun and will port it to iOS and (soon) Android. Meaning that the core mechanic of the mobile game will be in Season 2, and available as a standalone game (more fledged out based on that same mechanic) on mobile devices.
Unfortunately due to medical reasons we were unable to attend PAX or GamesCom (why does a game development cycle HAS to have those?!), BUT we are already talking to Mojang about a booth at MineCon in Vegas! We've had a bit of debate about that conference, but hey, it will have a lot of press and we owe Notch a big manly hug. Or two.
No word from Steam yet. We believe it may be worth to wait for Season 2, combine Season 1 & 2 and resubmit that as a bigger game. Or go protest in front of Valve's offices.
So that's a quick update on where we're at, and no, we haven't forgotten anyone.
