Long Time Courting is ready to finish our debut album which will consist of skillfully re-imagined folksongs and tunes from Ireland and beyond on fiddle, flute, guitar, cello and vocals. Each member of the band contributes something unique and special to the project including original tune compositions, original lyrics, and clever melodic and arranging sensibilities, as well as stellar performances. Innovative traditional bands are easy to come by in the Boston area (where we are based), but I believe what makes us special is our three and four part vocal harmonies, our inventive arrangements and of course, that we are all women.

Our band has been traveling and performing together for over two years now without a recording, and it is time to get our sound out there! We have started our recording project at home, but need funding to finish it which will include mixing, mastering, and manufacturing costs in addition to photos and a new website to give us a leg up in the competitive music business. The money we will receive from Kickstarter will cover these costs as well as paying back our recording engineer retroactively.
