Kickstarter

Now that you've watched my video, you know a bit more about what I do and my history in sculpture and transition to making jewelry.  I've created this kickstarter to help with the switcharoo - turning my sculpture into miniature wearable production jewelry.  My goal is to grow Catherine Grisez Jewelry into a viable long-term business that gives back to the community. The funds raised here will cover my costs to attend the New York International Gift Fair, a wholesale trade show where I'll be (hopefully!) taking orders from store and gallery owners around the globe.   You wouldn't believe how expensive it is!  Just the booth fee is $4000, add to that - shipping my booth display, electrical and table rental, airfare, hotel, food, making the work to bring, etc - well, you get it... I need a lot of capital just to get started. I've estimated I'll need $7500, and I'm shooting for $6000 of that here.

To the right you will notice pledge amounts... I need to reach my goal of $6000 or no money/product changes hands.  So please, join in the fun... and tell your friends!  

Pick your level of support... here's what you get for your money:

Pledge $22-$44: Prints - jewelry on steroids from my multimedia project, Lick.  Choose your favorite and I'll send you a signed print in either 5"x7" or 8"x12" (image ratio/crop may vary depending on print size)

Pledge $70: Gem Earrings -  Handcrafted with sterling silver, oxidized sterling silver, and/or 14kt gold fill, semi-precious/precious gemstones or pearls. Approximately 2"-2.5" from top of ear wire to bottom of chain, be sure to specify your gemstone/color preference. amethyst/labradorite version shown on model below. (retail value: $78-$88)

Pledge $100: Gem Necklace -  Handcrafted with sterling silver and semi-precious/precious gemstones or pearls. adjustable length between 16.5"-18.5", be sure to specify your gemstone/color preference. ruby/amethyst/labradorite version shown on model below (retail value: $110)

Pledge $165: Gem Necklace and Gem Earrings! Gem necklace and matching earrings as seen above in the $70/$100 amounts.  Be sure to specify your gem choice. If you're not into matching, feel free to pick a different gem for each. (retail value: $188)

Pledge $395: Silver pod necklace with blue gemstone cluster - chalcedony and quartz gemstones trickle out from large sterling silver pod .  adjustable necklace length: 18.5"-20".  Bold but timeless statement piece, looks great with the pod earrings above. (retail value: $418)

Pledge $500: Learn - Curious to learn more about metalsmithing, holloware, or jewelry techniques?  I'd love to teach you! (I've been teaching holloware since 2000) We will spend a day in my studio covering the process(es) of your choice on a mutually agreeable date within the next year. You (or you and a friend? could be a fun date even!) will learn something new, laugh, have a delightful lunch, and go home inspired.
