The video above is a teaser that was shot last year by the director. The script, crew and production value has grown significantly since then.

"Idée Fixe" is a narrative short film being produced at Temple University. It tells the story of Dr. Thomas Harvey, the man who stole Albert Einstein's brain. Forty years after the controversial theft, a student sparks Harvey's interest to continue the research. This brings back memories that show just how warped the mind can be when fame comes into the picture.

It is a clever, interesting, and intriguing screenplay that tells a story that no other filmmakers have attempted to tell. It has a unique combination of humor, drama, and horror all mixed into one. Writer/Director Patrick O’Malley wrote the script alongside his co-writer Rich Gardner with the hopes of educating the audience while also entertaining them with the story of Dr. Harvey.

The only money we have right now is coming out of the director's pocket. We are using all of the resources we can that are free to us (Temple's facilities, student crew members, etc), but there's no getting around the fact that a film costs money. Between food, outside equipment, transportation, props, setdressing, and wardrobe (and more!) we need more money to be able to make this all happen.

This script is incredible, and we are completely confident that if we are able to fund it and go through with it having the financial support that we need, it will do very well in festivals around the country as well as be seen at numerous screenings around Philadelphia. Please help us in making this dream a reality!
