Kickstarter

I have been living in San Francisco for quite some time now and have written literally a 100 songs since moving from New Jersey almost a year ago. Out of all those songs I have 4 that I have decided I want to record and release as my first EP!! With YOUR help my dream can become a reality. I'm going to be recording old-school style. All on tape!!!!!!! You know that stuff that people used to record on before music became a bunch of 1's and 0's?!?

Unfortunately, life as a musician isn't exactly the most financially prosperous way to make a living. Thats why i'm starting this Kickstarter campaign. With the money that YOU pledge I will be able to pay for the studio, hire an engineer whose expertise will come in handy, as well as hire the musicians I will need to get those beautiful sounds laid down. Trust me, nobody wants to  hear me attempt to play saxophone. In addition, any money that might be pledged over my $2,000 mark will go straight into the creation of a poster that I will be making for the EP!! This poster will be a "replacement" for all the beautiful album artwork that basically seems to be non-existent in this current musical landscape we live in. Art and music have always been one and the same, and it needs to continue to be that way!!

I have been writing and performing music since I was in my teens, but this will the first real step to making this my life!! I plan on recording at the very end of March and to have a finished "product" by late April/early May. This EP will be completely self released, no record labels etc...
