A comedy about degenerates, pimps, strippers, losers, lawyers, white supremacists, and a fried bologna sandwich.

The novel was originally completed in 2010 and has since been through rewrites and redrafts. My friend and attorney got it into the hands of a publisher at Hachette Publishing who found the material funny and worthy of publication. Although this news left me ecstatic I later learned that when it reached the upper decision makers they deemed me not famous enough for publishing. I did however get the confirmation I needed that the material was well written, funny, and deranged enough to influence at least a few High School teens to listen to some better music.

The Tragedy of Oogie Bardesh, a comedy of 50,200 words. The story circles several characters as they travel across the United States for purposes of personal gain and glory in a manner only logical to a complete social degenerate. Along the road they face a series of obstacles all stemming from their own lack of moral fiber that they carry like a badge.

Some of the characters -

Alexander Carlson: A used car salesman who thrives on insurance scams, cheap buffet dinners, and independently published pornography.

The Hero: An unemployed self proclaimed con artist who prides himself on high fashion and perfectly trimmed goatee.

Collin Shemp: A Hollywood wannabe setting forth to produce/direct/write/star in his first independent feature film (shot on digital).

Eduardo and Cico Suarez: Teenage brothers and aspiring actors who dream of playing gangsters. They attempt to to live the gangster lifestyle in order to prepare for a role in a movie that does not exist.

Mr. X: A Lithuanian pimp who wears white suits with grey stripes. He likes to dance.

These are just some of the characters on the journey to Grand Junction, Colorado.
