Social Implications
Our story explores issues that reflect some of the biggest issues in society at large. We explore whether or not extreme eating should be considered wasteful and unnecessary in a time of extreme worldwide hunger and poverty. We uncover a corporate entity creating wealth from under-compensating their eaters; a parallel to the corporatizing of the world economy today. As well as taking a look at this year’s first ever all-female Nathan’s Hot Dog competition.
