Update #1: Thank you! So far so good.

Posted on July 23, 2010

Hey folks,
So I'm nearly half way there with 40 days still to go! Thank you so much to all the supporters EBE has amassed so far. I will do you proud. If you haven't seen it already, I've got a new tweaked trailer on the page, featuring John K, Lloyd Kaufman, and Nina Paley. Check back and take a look if that's news to you.

It's blowing my mind just slightly that I've got over 100 backers at this point. If I don't know you personally I'd love to know how you found out about the project. Friends? Family? Newgrounds? Kotaku? JJGo? Other? I'd love it if you'd post a comment on here letting me know where you heard, so I can better focus my getting the word out efforts.

Speaking of which, the most helpful thing you can do apart from your pledge is post this link everywhere you can. The more people check it out the more people might like it the more people might like to kick in a buck or two. Even if your friends can't afford to make a pledge (understandable in these troubling economic times) they can help by passing it on to others who might and they in turn to yet others who might. It's a numbers game. I'm pounding the virtual pavement.

TTFN. Thank you. Be well.

Nathan

Heard about it first on JJGo, and then again on Kotaku. Newgrounds was there for me when I was a young silly person, and now as a young silly adult, its my honor to have your back and newgrounds' (and really the ENTIRE internet's) back somewhat by extension!

I've been a part of the Newgrounds community since just after its inception, so naturally I heard about it there. It's been fun watching NG grow and evolve to what it is today, and better still knowing that I've been a part of it. Can't wait to see the movie! And I'm telling everyone I know to be a part of this monumental leap forward for Newgrounds.

I became part of newgrounds in 2003, a popular site even then but as I recall One Ring to Rule Them All 2 was the highest rated flash of the time. Things are quite different now. I've enjoyed watching the evolution of the site and becoming a citizen of this great online community. I have newgrounds to thank for igniting my passion in animation, so I figure donating some to their continued success is the least I could do. I can't wait to see this film.
