Intro
Set on a fully functional studio sound stage in the heart of New York City, Pilot X is a live event where the studio audience plays all the roles - producers, cast, and crew. The result? A TV show that you create and film! It's your chance to participate in live, real-time TV production, with all of its surprises and comedic moments.
With your support and participation, we will hold an invite-only premiere weekend for Pilot X on November 19th at Cine Magic SOHO Studios, in Manhattan. The premieres will be adults only (21+).
The Audience at Work
"ACTION!"
Like a “Choose Your Own Adventure” book, Pilot X puts the audience in the driver's seat.
Throughout the course of the evening, the audience will use their mobile devices to steer and sway what happens on stage. Bring your iPhone, Blackberry, Droid, iPad, or iPod Touch - whatever it is that you can't put down! We'll hook you into our wifi network, and the adventure will begin...
And for those who are willing to forsake their seats and brave the stage, there's plenty of other ways to make an impact. Willing audience members will also be tapped to serve as cast and crew. In short: this TV show will be your creation!
What's your vision? Do you want to hold the camera, or step up and see your name in lights? Maybe you like to play dress up - could costume designer be your destiny? Or are you the executive producer type - holding the megaphone, calling the shots? Whatever role you play, Pilot X is a fast-paced thrill ride through the world of television production.
Here's the best part: you don't need to know a thing about television production to participate! Leave the nitty gritty to us - the focus of you, as the audience, will be on having fun.

"QUIET ON THE SET!"
Pilot X will make its first run in Manhattan, at Cine Magic SOHO Studios, on Saturday, November 19th, at 2pm and 8pm. We need your help to deliver a top-quality television production experience for the 100+ 'producers, cast & crew' who will participate in each show. This premiere weekend will generate excitement for Pilot X, and -- hopefully! -- lead to a longer run.
Your involvement will allow us to debut with: An authentic setting -- access to one of the best and largest film stages in Manhattan; groundbreaking technical delivery -- the latest in audience-interaction response systems, along with real-time video editing, HD cameras and projectors; great looking scenes -- a wide assortment of fun stage sets, props, and costumes to accomodate your wit and whimsy; and a fun-loving audience -- because YOU, our kickstarter funders, will be in the premiere crowd! The shows will be held at Cine Magic SOHO Studios on Saturday November 19th at 2pm, and 8pm. The address of Cine Magic Stages SOHO is 210 Elizabeth Street in Manhattan. We'll hold a 'wrap party' later that evening (location tbd). If we exceed our target funding, we'll add additional shows on Sunday, November 20th.. so stay tuned.
Invitations to PIlot X shows during the premiere weekend will be paperless and transferable. So, if you cannot join us that weekend for any reason, you can gift your invite to another.

"CAMERA 2, TIGHTEN UP!"
We don't want to ruin the surprise... but here's what we can tell you:
The audience of 100-150 at Cine Magic Studios will all be seated, encircling the film set. All audience members will use their handheld/web-enabled devices to respond to live questions, determining the show's content. Then, 20 volunteer participants will be selected to try out or audition for the "live parts" of cast and & crew for the pilot episode. (Don't worry: you can tell us in advance if you don't want an onstage part!)
Participants will then be whisked through nine steps: 1. Getting to know each other; 2. Deciding the type of show you want to create; 3. Selecting your crew, including Assistant Director, Production Assistants, Camera, Costume, and Sound; 4. Auditioning your Lead and Supporting Actors; 5. Finalizing scripts, stage setup, and product placement; 6. Rehearsing the scene; 7. Making pre-shoot adjustments; 8. Filming your scene; and, 9. Watching your creation in all its edited glory! (Note: we will provide online access to your video creations so you can share with friends and family!)

Do you like to laugh? Have you ever dvr'd a television show, voted in an online poll, played Charades, read a choose-your-own-adventure story, sung karaoke, rocked out on Guitar Hero, tried to beatbox, or dressed up for Halloween after the age of 12? Then Pilot X is for you!

You reserve a seat by pledging support. Pledge $55 to reserve a single seat at the premiere, $100 to reserve two seats. You can reserve more than two seats for an additional $50 per seat (Please see the 'Costume Designers' and 'Writers' Pledge Levels for further details)
WE ALSO HAVE 2 SPECIAL PROMOTIONS:
CROWDS - If your group is 6 or more people, the 'Crowds' Pledge Level allows you to reserve seats to the premiere for $30 apiece
PROMOTERS - If you tell 20 fun-loving friends about the premiere in an email, you can reserve a seat for only $20! See 'Promoters' Pledge Level for details.

We will be in touch within the first week of November to ask which show you would like to attend (once Kickstarter funding has ended). We hope to accomodate everyone's preference. If necessary, priority will be given in the order in which you reserved your seats.
