Limited Edition Full color art book 7"x7", 64 pages, featuring reproductions of some of my zombie artwork, 2009-2012.
"Zombie Nation" will be a full color art book, 64 pages, 7"x7" with reproductions of some of my zombie art work from the past few years. This series grew out of a fascination with consumerism and pop culture, and the idea of people living beyond their physical life span as images within popular culture. How are our minds molded by the images we see around us? How does the media landscape create consumer zombies? This series consists of paintings, prints, drawings, altered currency, and altered photographs depicting zombies throughout the ages.
Rewards consist of some of this work as well as new unique works created specifically for this project. Money raised will go towards publishing costs and photography, scanning, and design and layout costs. My plan is to print an edition of 100 books, signed and numbered. If I raise more money than my projected goal I will increase the print run to accommodate. My projected timeline is to raise the money via Kickstarter, then spend the early part of 2013 laying out images, and producing the custom rewards. I will print and ship the books by early summer 2013. Some of the work featured in this book is viewable on my blog site
